Welcome to DunOr.org
We are a Barony located in the Antelope Valley, high in Southern California, and encompassing the geographic area from Palmdale to the Tehachapi mountains. Made up of a smaller population but mighty in our members, we are very proud of their contributions within the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). We welcome all who are interested in our mission as a non-profit, educational, and historical society dedicated to reliving and recreating the Middle Ages and Renaissance.

Master Kelan McBride shares with Dun Or his story of The Making of a Pelican

This was found on the TIME website. Our Kingdom, Barony, and our gracious Baroness are mentioned in a new book entitled “American Nerd”, by Benjamin Nugent. The excerpt makes for a fun read with many places mentioned easily recognized.

“In short, there’s simply not,
A more congenial spot,
For happily-ever-aftering than here in”…
Since the spring of 2006, 4 of the last 6 Kings from the Kingdom of Caid have come from our small Barony. On Saturday August 23rd Count Sven Orfhendur fought valiantly, and with great honour and chivalry, for Countess Kolfinna Kottr and won a crown. We in Dun Or are very proud and delighted, and extend our heartfelt congratulations to Their Royal Highnesses.

Greetings All,
I cannot believe that 5 years have passed since I first took over the job of Dun Or Webwright. Thanks to all of you who have contributed information about our fair Barony during that time. I will be stepping down and Diana Neville of Salisbury will be taking over. You can contact her at the same address (webwright at dunor dot org) as always.
Thank you for letting me serve Dun or for so long.
Cheers,
Countess Kolfinna
