Anniversary (Khalida) – looking for site. Does anyone have options? Looking at Lancaster City Park and Marie Kerr and Dominic Messeri. Will drive by Dominic Messeri to check it out. (Aranwen) Kelan suggested a theme of “esoteric” – come dressed as something other than you normally do. Come as an Aztec if you want to. (Khalida) suggested the procession be Coli dragging them up to court while they are prodded at from behind at swordpoint [reminiscent of shotgun wedding] (Colyn) we need a site and an article submitted by Aug 25. (Faizeh) Baird is looking into getting Hillview School. She’ll talk to Angela with Lancaster Parks and Recs about getting a discount on Lancaster City Park. Date of Anniversary is Oct 2nd. Need to talk to Renee about getting Rufus to teach how to make the award medallions. (Colyn) is it possible to get a site with archery?
Vote of Confidence (Colyn) – day after deadline (is it June 23 or July 10?) will call David to push for the results. It has to go through their majesties next.
Reminder to have a roster to sign at council meetings. [webwright’s question, does it count if the minute taker just writes down who attended?]
Need to start thinking about replacements for officers. We need rapier marshal and constable. Reminder for Khalida to check everyone’s warrants. Do we need a new lists officer?
Things to fix in CP - Changes for newcomers, council, fighters practice on Sundays.
Newcomers – Meeting is tonight. Needs to write down Ciar’s address. A&S going to meeting.
Chronicler – has been preoccupied with reminding the populous that she needs article submissions before she can publish. HINT HINT. Reminder to Senschal and Chatelaine to submit to the Tower Tails. Faizeh’s facts aka why I’m right. Chronicler plans to have electronic version out by August.

Newcomers report (Faizeh): Last month there were 4 new people at the meeting. For May, Faizeh needs someone to take over class – Faizeh was considering asking her Excellency. The meeting next month (June) will fall on Father’s Day. The group decision was to move the meeting to same night as Council (June 13, 7 pm).
Exchequer’s report (Ciar): Same as last month. $7,000+. All incoming checks have cleared. There are no outgoing checks.
Webwright’s report (Cera): Nothing to report.
Seneschal’s comments: Since no one has received their polls in the mail, Khalida will follow up with Corporate.
Events on next year’s calendar: Could not get Darkwell on the Calendar for 2011. The memorial tournament is on the calendar for the 2nd or 3rd week of September.
Anniversary: Khalida and Faizeh are co-autocratting Anniversary.
Replacing the Baronial Champion’s sword: No input from the local knights about it yet. The council put it to a vote and decided to go ahead and order from Oso a short sword.
Changing the Location of Council Meeting: After meeting was closed, we voted on a change of venue for the meeting. The next council meeting will be held at Don Cucos Restaurant, located on Ave. K in Lancaster on June 13 at 5pm.

Discussed closing date for letters of intent to succeed Their Excellencies Jan. 31st.Closing date has passed. Their Excellencies will discuss the choices with Their Majesties so the Barony can have a vote of confidence.
Sword of State v. baronial regalia- discussion about raising/ using funds for either a sword of state or replacing other regalia stolen from the trailer during Ian and Therese’s reign. Sir Baird will speak to his brother Dun Or knights about size/shape etc of the sword. Heated discussion about what region of the world the blade should represent.
Newcomers will meet the 3rd Sunday of every month- starting Feb. 15 ( need to check date since that’s Valentine’s day and estrella) contact chatelaine, Her Grace, Duchess Faizeh for info including directions.
Their Excellencies will be at Queen’s Champion for Archery

No council meeting is scheduled for December.
Yule: will be at the same site (Lutheran Church of the Masters). we have the site from 4 to 10 but the event will be 5-9. No site fee, requesting donations. (according the Drew, we gave the church approximately $105 last year). It will be a potluck, bring your bocce, games, chess, backgammon. (Cera volunteered to bring her bocce set. Asked Colyn if Barony still has the games she made years ago.)
Memorial Event: Baron Colyn’s comments: we want to host one this April, need to get on the calendar. In 2011 we want to switch time slots with Anniversary. October would be a more fitting date for the Memorial Event (2010 - Memorial Event in April & Anniversary in October, 2011 - Anniversary in April & Memorial in October). Also, would like to consider combining Anniversary and Darkwell.
Khalida’s comments: what do we ant to do with this, do we only want to do a tournament or something more, do we want to do it as a charity? How do we want to run a charity? do we want a raffle? After an informal vote the general conscensus was we want a Tournament and Charity with a raffle. colyn siad we want to have the memorial tent set up again. Khalida will look to see how the Pink Ribbon Tourney was run and gather ideas from that. Suggestion was to speak to Agytha regarding trim for a raffle item, also, beadwork and something weapon related such as a rapier buckler and a a centerround for heavies, possibly painted orange and decorated with Kolfinna’s device (not her arms!). Bjorn volunteered to try to make a Viking style centerround. Khalida volunteered to autocrat the event. Since there will not be a December meeting, she will work out the details of the event via email correspondence.
A&S Report (Bjorn): He is attempting to contact Robyn the Grey to set up dancing lessons possibly for January or February.
Will set us an A&S Beautification Day (projects to fix up Baronial equipment or flags, etc. - one necesary repair - the Baronial pavillion needs a small patch of canvas to repair a grommet - does anyone have canvas to donate?) aiming for March or April.
Chronicler (reporting by proxy): waiting on server before we can begin publishing electronically. Hope to have the first electronic publication in January.
Exchequer report (Drew): We have $6780. Outgoing will be insurance and site fee for Yule. Incoming $150 from the County of Kern. Deputy is THL Ciar ingen Daire. Ciar will be assuming the office at Yule but Drew will finish off the Doomsday report.
Newcomers report (reported by proxy): next meeting will be in January.
Seneschal report: Get your doomsday report in as soon as possible.
Webwright report (Cera): I will publish the Yule event notice in the next few days. Will send my doomsday report after I finish my finals (sometime aroung the end of the month). Volunteered to submit event notices to the Caid website at the same time I publish the Dun Or event notice. (Update as of Nov 16 - the Caid website says that only the seneshal or event autocrat can submit event notices). I asked if any guilds are active. The answer was no, so I will remove that page. Colyn and Muiriath will be submitting a article regarding receiving letters of intent. I made him sign a permission form and warned everyone that I’m going to be collecting permission forms for everything on the site and my intent is to treat the website like a newspaper, there will be bylines for every article and captions for every photograph.
