At Crown Tournament hosted by the Shire of the Isles on March 6, Duke Edric Aaron Hartwood was asked, accepted and admitted into the Order of the Pelican.

At the Coronation hosted by the Barony of Dun Or on November 7th, during the closing court of their majesties Edward and Mora, Sechequr Qara received the King’s Favor, the Queen’s Favor, and the Signum Regni and Khalida al Khansa received the Queen’s Favor.

In the arena of combat, on November 8th, Sir Sven Orfhendur and Don Colyn MacLabhruinn won the fields for Heavies and Rapier for Queens Champion. A week later they swept the fields again and became the dual champions for the Frost Dragon tournament hosted by the Barony of Naevehjem.

As you may have heard we have announced our retirement as of the next Dun Or Baronial anniversary. In order to select our heirs we are seeking letters of intent for those that wish to serve as the next Baron and Baroness of Dun Or. The deadline for letters of intent is January 31, 2010. Those that wish to serve should keep in mind that while the positions of Baron and Baroness have great rewards, and also bear great responsibility. These positions entail a considerable amount of work. Those chosen, will represent the Barony to the rest of the Kingdom. The Baron and Baroness are expected to frequently travel to all corners of the Kingdom in order to properly represent the Barony. If you are interested, please submit a letter detailing any qualifications that you feel are relevant via e-mail or letter to the Baron, Baroness and the Seneschal by the deadline.
