Greetings!
At opening court of Starkhafn’s Anniversary, Their Majesties extended an invitation to Rufus MacDaniel to become a member of the Order of the Pelican, which he accepted.
The details: The Barony of Dun Or went to make a presentation, Her Majesty noted that he was there “now”, so upon completion of Dun Or’s presentation, members of the order were called forth. Rufus made haste to move out of the way, and His Majesty said he did not need to leave. The light dawned (and I wish I were quicker on the draw with the camera, but it was hidden in my sleeve!) and after a moment he stepped forward. The invitation was given and
accepted.
For the record: Rufus has perfected the ” I’m-stunned-and-I-can’t-let-anyone-know” attitude. I am practically jumping up and down while he is seemingly-calm, getting hugged in succession, and simply repeating “um, okay”. As of now, he has no idea of a date for the ceremony, etc. (which just proves how stunned he is — no plan and it has been over 24 hours???). It was simply wonderful.
